Discrimination on the grounds of pregnancy constitutes a problem that must be addressed in the workplace, despite the protections granted to pregnant woman. However, when it comes to a sports employment contract differential treatment increases due to the nature of the work performed. The present dissertation aims to understand how discrimination is treated in the case of pregnancy athletes, the problems they may encounter, how they can be solved and whether the specialty of the sports contract can legitimize the differentiation of treatment, based on sports regulations, case law and international doctrine.
