This report, developed within the framework of the Master's Course in Nursing with Specialization in Community and Public Health Nursing at the Institute of Health Sciences, of Universidade Católica Portuguesa, reports the path taken in the Final Internship. Health contexts generate vulnerable environments prone to violence that result from a set of multifactorial situations. They represent serious consequences on the physical and mental health of professionals, on the care they provide and that have repercussions on the quality of the relationship they develop with the people who seek them. It is a phenomenon that affects the quality of services. Affects their sustainability due to the repercussions on the organization and labor relations, as well as on the performance of workers. This internship was developed in a Public Health Unit in Porto, where the problem of violence in health professionals was analyzed. The objective of this work was to describe the creation of the platform for the epidemiological surveillance of violence, to identify the prevalence of violence and to develop interventions that could be use in the future. In order to respond to the objectives, a test was constructed based on contents and forms of presentation of other training programs that already exist at national and international level. A literature review was simultaneously carried out in order to answer the question: What are the mitigation strategies in the prevention of violence in the workplace of health professionals?”. The results obtained were a model for analyzing the prevalence of violence against healthcare professionals, and an automated analysis process was developed to support the regular surveillance of this phenomenon, as well as provide a foundation for proposed interventions.
