Abstract

This report describes the process of conception, development and realization of the animated short film project Void Inspiration, made as part of the master’s degree in Sound and Image, specializing in Animation. The film, which lasts approximately 9 minutes and 30 seconds, mixes 2D digital and analogue animation techniques, 3D animation and live-action images, exploring themes such as creative block, artistic integrity and a critique of the current panorama of art and technology. The narrative follows Pirro, a young artist in creative crisis, who, upon finding a mysterious paper, is transported to a dreamlike universe. In this world, Pirro visits realms inhabited by entities that represent different corruptions of contemporary art: dehumanizing artificial intelligence, the capitalist industry, over-intellectualized academic criticism, trivialized sexualization and, finally, the Faustian offer of the loss of the soul through inspiration. The black square: a central symbol inspired by the work of Kazimir Malevich, which embodies the figure of the devil and represents the abstract corruption that permeates the modern art world. The project combines an experimental aesthetic approach with a strong symbolic charge and biblical, philosophical and historical references. Artificial intelligence tools were used critically, exploring their capabilities and limitations while questioning their ethics, impact on authorship and use of other people's data. The film also reflects on the moral responsibility of the artist and proposes an art based on authenticity and resistance to corruption. The production process involved intense theoretical and visual research, as well as rigorous technical execution, mostly carried out by the author himself. The short film thus aims to be not only an aesthetic work, but also a visual essay on the spiritual struggle of the artistic creator in contemporary times.
