Ep. 3 – Passenger Name Record, Transnational Terrorism and Data Retention of Third-country Nationals

In 2016, the EU Parliament and the Council adopted the DIRECTIVE (EU) 2016/681 on the use of passenger name record data for the prevention, detection, investigation and prosecution of terrorist offences and serious crimes (EU-PNR Directive). This episode focuses on the relationship between the EU-PNR Directive, the fight against transnational terrorism and data retention of third-country nationals.
