Comparative analysis of master's degrees in cultural management: Brazil, Spain and Portugal

This article presents a comparative analysis of the training, at the Master’s level, in the field of Cultural Management in Brazil, Spain, and Portugal, as can be seen at present (September 2020). In section two explains the objectives of this research. Without going into detail, the not so new area of Cultural Management has demand in the last decade’s professionals trained specifically to face the challenges and circum- stances of a variable, changing, and multiform space, in which events ranging from large format to more modest ones are included. Section three details how research was conducted, and in section four we examined data from 22 Master’s degrees, from Spain, Portugal, and Brazil. In the last section we discuss study results.An evident aspiration in every modern university training is its transnational condition since it must train people to be able to act successfully in very different environments. The historical links that connect the three geographical spaces analyzed here are also evident. Had there been more space a more thorough survey, including the different Spanish-speaking American countries, could be portrayed.
