Resumo

This disclosure relates to a method for extracting keratin from animal hair, in particular from pigs’ hair, wherein the method comprises several steps, for example degreasing the animal hair with a solution of a degreaser and filtering the solution of degreased animal hair to remove residues and to obtain a solution of keratin.
