abstract = "This paper provides a brief introduction to rehabilitation in Portugal and presents some challenges posed by cognitive rehabilitation, especially in the case of acquired brain injury. Its purpose is to develop and investigate the effects of Virtual Reality in the rehabilitation of Disexecutive Syndrome. The authors describe the architecture of the VR Program under development and of a speech-enabled interface between patients and the program. Previous work analyzing patients' experience with this technology shows promising results, which makes the search for new solutions contributing to the improvement of effectiveness in this domain imperative.",
