Resumo

One of goals in the design of visual communication systems is to represent, broadcast and reproduce the information that the human eye can see and perceive. The most reliable way of assessing the quality of an image or video is subjective evaluation, because human beings are the final receivers in most applications. This paper presents the design, preparation, and analysis of a subjective trial on joint video coding of multiple video test sequences coding based on H.264/AVC standard. Rate control follows a 'feed forward bit rate control' strategy where the allocation of the bandwidth depends of the dynamic time-varying characteristics of the video. Thus the paper proposes to analyze coding efficiency of several joint H.264/AVC video coding strategies by conducting a subjective trial.
