N2 - Total denture manufacture still remains a very demanding work to the clinician and to the technician. The aim of this research is to test the utility of 3D mandibular movement simulation in the construction of total dentures with bilateral balanced occlusion. By an optical scanning process and computer simulation, the authors demonstrate that articulator's individualization is important to the construction of a total denture with a balanced occlusion in equilibrium with the physiology of the temporomandibular joint.
