Resumo
Augmented reality (AR) has the potential to greatly enhance cultural heritage experiences and urban art curation. This study aims to assess the impact of mobile applications and AR in curating urban art, with a specific focus on grafiti, as well as managing heritage. To achieve this, 37 AR apps available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store were subjected to Content and Comparative Analysis. The analysis revealed that these apps commonly possess features such as accessibility, multimedia support, and GPS integration. However, the prevalence of live notifications was found to be comparatively low. Furthermore, it was observed that the different categories of these apps influence user engagement and interaction within the urban art community. These findings highlight the potential of AR technology in preserving and enhancing urban art experiences. Future research should incorporate qualitative approaches to gain a deeper understanding of the urban art movement and address the specific needs of its participants.
