WeCare: financial planning as a support to decision making

Resumo

WeCare was founded 30 years ago and is now facing a critical situation. The last five years have led to significant financial pressure. Last year, following a change in the Board, strict cost control mechanisms were implemented and new revenue sources were explored. As a result, the organisation’s financial situation improved. WeCare currently faces new challenges following the decrease in demand for some of its social responses and the requirement to update the salaries of its employees. The Board now has some important decisions to take that will determine the future of WeCare, namely the decision about the eventual closure of some social responses that run on a loss. A detailed financial planning process is underway to support the decision-making process.
