Histórias com música

: implementação de Oficinas de Música e Teatro Musical na Fábrica das Histórias

Resumo

This project presents the workshops “Histórias com Música”, music and musical theatre workshops which conception had the purpose of contributing to a model of activities, within museum education services, that aims at fostering and strenghthening ties between communities and their cultural heritage, stimulating the creative behaviour of the attendants. These workshops intend to promote a dialogue between written narratives and visual arts, articulating them in performative arts. Their implementation proposes the virtual expansion of the museum space into the classroom, comprising continuous sessions in which there are developed interdisciplinary activities. This project is divided into three parts, being the first of them dedicated to the explanation of some theoretical presuppositions concerning the relation between museums, culture and education, the second part assigned to the paradigm of museum education services in Portugal, presenting examples of good practice in some portuguese institutions, and the third part to the introduction of the workshops “Histórias com Música”, showing their structure, how they were developed and the results of their implementation in Fábrica das Histórias – Casa Jaime Umbelino, a cultural equipment owned by the Municipality of Torres Vedras.
